The inaugural DBR Funfest, organized by the popular industry forum Domain Boardroom, will be held August 5th to 8th in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area.
Touted as the "unconference", there's no admission fee and no structured schedule - just a lot of friends and colleagues networking and partying aboard a "Pirate Ship" (it's really an older, custom-built wooden trawler that's been glassed over), as well as golfing and other activities in which members have expressed an interest.The few "meetings" we'll have will be on Bird Island and Waities Island, both undeveloped, deserted islands where Little River Inlet meets the Atlantic Ocean.
A few of the activities being tossed around for this inaugural get-together (in addition to the pirate ship, island meetings, and golf) include fishing, horseback riding, scuba diving and snorkeling, jetski rentals and gambling boats (the two docked here are the only ones allowed in South Carolina).

Donna Mahony, founder and administrator of Domain Boardroom, recently received a Domainer of the Year award by Domainer's Magazine. Adam Strong, also awarded Domainer of the Year, is a Domain Boardroom member as well.
